I
was born and raised in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia……for
those outsider’s, Cole Harbour is the ‘burbs of Dartmouth,
NS. I graduated from Cole Harbour District High School with a graduating
class of over 500 people.
I came to Ottawa in December 1999 as a fresh Software
Engineer right out of school. The first question I asked myself
during my first week of winter here was, “what the heck did
I move here for????” Because the temperature that week I believe
was -35 every day and the wind chill on top of that bringing it
down to -40 to -50.
I have been in the Software Engineering field
for 7 years now and I am currently the Test Lead for a global application
we recently adopted from Microsoft.
I love building things and being handy around
the house, I love anything to do with cars, I love long walks on
the beach, and I love Jimena (barf bags not included)

I
was born in Lima, Peru to Peruvian parents but only lived there
for a few years before embarking on many adventures following my
parents' diplomatic appointments from Santiago, Chile to Brussels,
Belgium and final landing, Ottawa Canada.
I've been living in Ottawa since I was 10 years
old and I am proud to call it my home. Part of my elementary and
all my high school and college years were spent here. This is where
I've made some of the best friends and have the fondest memories
growing up.
I love travelling, reading, cooking and playing
computer games.
I've been working in the web world since I graduated
from college in Web Development & Design back in the summer
of 1999.
It's only fit that I hold my very special day in
a city I call home. This is not to say that my Peruvian heritage
is completely lost. Oh no, there will be some aspects of my culture
in our wedding as well.
