Shoes

Jimmy and I went to Montreal overnight on Saturday for his friend's bday. On Sunday I had his friend and him take me shopping for wedding shoes. I'm happy to report I found them!!

They are also dyable so after the wedding I might stop into the store in Montreal and have them dyed. I considered selling them but I don't think I'd get much out of them and it's too sentimental to want to part with them.

Only one more accessory left!!!

Church Music

I went yesterday to meet/interview a potential choir singer/patio player for the church ceremony last night. She was wonderful!!! A bit more than I was willing to pay for music for the church so I'm going to see if my mom will want to split it with me.

I told her what song I wanted to use to walk down the aisle and she played and sung it beautifully! I actually cried! We went through all the song choices and I told her I was going to get back to her first week of May after I've talked to my mom once she returns from her trip to Cancun. I'm hoping my mom would like to meet with her to hear her sing and then we can book her!

Crying by just hearing the song makes me wonder how I'm going to stop myself from crying as I walk down the aisle!!!

Favours

I went on Monday to meet with my decorator since our favours had come in. They are soo nice! She thinks that there are plenty in the box so she gave me one as a keepsake until the wedding. If we're short one, I'll give it back but regardless, I was happy to take it home and show it to Jimmy. I also took a photo of it for keepsakes for my wedding book.

We're going to Montreal this weekend for the best man's bday. On Sunday Jimmy promised to take me to St Hubert Street to shop for wedding shoes!

The Dress

I finally had a chance to make it out to the bridal store on Saturday to try on my gown which came in back mid-February. My mom is out of town for a week so unfortunately, she couldn't attend, but I did bring a girlfriend and 2 of my BMs. I can happily say that it fits like a glove (thankfully!) and I'm still in love with it! I was sad to take it off to be honest.

All my BMs put the order through for their gowns. My maid of honour (MOH) picked her dress back in February and since she lives in Iqaluit, she couldn't be there on Saturday so she wired me the money and I put the order through for her. The other 2 ended up picking the same dress style so now they will look the same while the MOH will stand out in a different gown. I also put through an order for a shawl for each as a gift.

I can't wait to show my mom the photos of my gown and to take her to see it hopefully in May/June.

Halfway Mark

Wow, it's been a while since I updated everyone. Well, the whole wedding shoe fiasco has been resolved. I've decided to just go to Montreal to search for shoes. I'll have much more selection there and I'll get to try them on before purchasing as well.

We finally put the order through for our invites. We're just waiting for them to send us the proofs and once we approve it. We can finally check that off our list!

We also sat down together yesterday afternoon and went through wedding band sites looking for styles we liked. We finally each found one style we liked a lot and we're going to go see a local jeweler soon to find out how much he'd charge us as opposed to buying it online.
