Seamstress Visit #1

My mom and I went for my first fitting last night. It went really well. I'm happy to report that my gown still fits but after they do the alterations it's going to be damn tight so there won't be any room to gain any weight! I'm aiming to lose a few pounds so that I have some gracing room for the day of.

RSVPs

We've almost got all our response cards back thankfully. There are just about a handful still missing. Most of them are from my mom's side (family friends) so she's chasing after them this week. I have 2 friends I need to harass by the end of the week to remind them for a final time. Otherwise, I'm taking them off the list of invitees. I have to meet with the caterers next week and the last thing I want is to be calling them multiple times to tell them to add/remove a person or two. It's a hassle when I have other things to worry about at this point in the game.

Bridal Shower #2

My mom hosted my second shower which included 14 of my friends. A few others were invited but they were unable to attend unfortunately. They were dearly missed!

The shower began around 1pm and the last guest left at 8pm!!! It was a total success! We went swimming, listened to music, played some hilarious shower games, ate some great peruvian food thanks to my wonderful mother who spent half the day cooking for us all and shared some great laughs with the gifts.

The highlight of the day was the hilarious cake that one of my bridesmaids, Steph, made for me with the help of her husband.

Wedding Bands

Jimmy received his wedding band in the mail last week. I still have to a couple more deposits to make before I can take it home with me. There really isn't much of a hurry we still have 49 days.

Still waiting on some RSVPs!! Come on people!! By mid-week I'm starting to call all those who have yet to reply. I need to meet with the caterers soon.

Due Date

Today is the due date for the RSVPs. We are still missing 35 response cards. If by end of day Monday I have not received all of them, I'll have no choice but to begin calling people to chase after them and I won't be happy about it!

Bridal Shower #1

My mom hosted my first bridal shower which consisted of mainly my family up from Toronto and all of our latino family friends. We were I'd say about 17 people in total. It was a great turnout and the sun ended up coming out after all so we all got to go swimming.

I'm looking forward to shower #2 in 2 weeks!!
