Hair comes the Bride II...

Love my new style!! This is the one I'm going to go with for the wedding. We're going to have one more trial in the early summer with the extensions to have that final look. Can't wait!

Hair comes the Bride II...

The more I looked at my hair trial photos, the less I liked my up do. I decided to go for a re-trial. I took Friday off so I'm going to go get one done at 10AM with photos to show a completely different style of up-do. Let's hope this one turns out nicer. If this up do doesn't, I'm going to opt for a hairdo with my hair completely up rather than half up 'do.

Payments

I'm soo impressed how well we're doing financially with this wedding stuff. We've got our cake, church, chair covers and as of end of today, the limo company paid off in full!!! I have a feeling that by June, we'll have all our vendors paid off, which is a huge relief cos then I can focus on putting money aside for our honeymoon since we'll have to book in the summer anyways. At this point, I only have the photographer, the DJ & the decorator/florist to pay off. I honestly can't wait!!

Hair comes the Bride...

I had my hair trial this afternoon. It went really really well. I took some photos but I won't share them as to leave some element of surprise.

I've also decided to not go with a tiara because of the type of hairstyle I'll be going with, it just won't work well. Which is ok b/c I couldn't decide on a tiara anyways and that will save me some money in the end. I might be getting some hair extensions but we're going to wait until the summer to see if my hair is much longer by then b/c my hair will be curled, it makes the hair shorter and I'm looking for a specific length for my special day so we'll have to see come June at least.

Bridal Gown ++UPDATE++

OMG!!! I got home from work today and I had a message on my machine from Sinders. Supposedly, half an hour after I had left the store, my gown came in!!!!!!!!!! Talk about crappy timing! What's more odd is that it's 2 months early! They told me it would take 4 months I wonder if that's out of the ordinary that it's in 2 months early. I can't wait to go in to try on my exact size woohoo!

I pressume my alteration appointments won't be until sometime this summer since I still have a loong time to wait haha

Bridesmaid dresses

I finally had a chance to take Kendra to Sinders to try on BM dresses. It's so hard with her living all the way in Iqaluit we can only do it whenever she's in town and she happened to be here for a couple of days for business thankfully. We took a whole hour and some and she narrowed it down to 2 gowns. She can't decide on the two so shes' going to check them out online and try to make her decision within the week and then call to place the order.

Centrepieces

I had an appointment with my decorator today. She had emailed me last week to tell me that she had put in an order for flowers and wanted to meet with me to make a mock-up of what our floral centrepieces would look like.

It's gorgeous!!! I took a bunch of photos but she encouraged me to not show anyone so that the day of, there would be some element of surprise. So I'm not going to post what they will look like but just take my word for it, people will say "wow" when they walk in! I'm soo happy! Just to give you an idea I told her I wanted lots of greenery and some ivory flowers that I wasn't picky just any flowers that would look good with the big wide banana type of leaves. She really came through! I'm having very tall thin vases with the greenery and flowers at the top. Don't worry, it won't abstruct anyone's views I made sure that the floral arrangements were high enough to not bother anymore. We tested them out today at her studio you really aren't abstructed but will still have that WOW facter when you walk into the room which is what I was going for!

We also signed finally the contract and I finally had a chance to pick out our wedding favours. Jimmy and I had narrowed it down to 5 possibilities and he left it up to me to pick the final one. I'm very very happy with the final result!
