TIP Limousine

I went to meet with a limo company out in Carp today. I'm not going to bother researching other companies. The ones I had contacted were much higher in price, this seemed to be the most reasonable for what it included. The owner was also extremely friendly and easy going.

I'm going to email the company tomorrow to confirm that I'd like their services the day of my wedding. So now I can really sit back and relax because I've got all our vendors booked! Now it's just the waiting game and some small things to get done.

Transportation

One of the last key vendors we have left to book is transportation. Jimmy doesn't want a limo because he says it's too expensive. I finally convinced him to just let me get the limo as long as I pay for it myself. I don't mind cos I really want the limo!

I'm going to call a bunch of limo companies this weekend and try to set up appointments to go visit their fleet and go with whomever offers me the best bang for my buck. I have my first appointment Sunday January 27 @ 11am. I just wish they all didn't live outside the city limits! I have to go all the way to Carp :( Some other ones I contacted were located in Renfew which I told myself is just TOO far to go visit.

Make-up

I had my first make-up trial today with Hina Mu. She came highly recommended by a few of the gals on weddingbells.ca so I thought I'd give her a try. My mom and I went to her house for my trial and we were soo impressed we decided to not bother going with anyone else. I'm going to cancel my other 2 appointments for trials since there is no point because we liked her so much and she knew what she was doing. My eyes look awesome!!! I wish I had someplace to go tonight to show them off. Here is a sneek peak of my eyes! For the rest, you'll just have to wait until the wedding day.

WeddingBells.ca

I joined the forum on WB.ca soon after becoming engaged. It's a great site with lots of useful information from other brides-to-be from all over Canada. Recently, a couple of the Ottawa gals, organized a meet n greet at one of their houses over the weekend. We were 8 in total and it was sooo much fun sitting down with other brides and discussing wedding stuff without worrying that ppl will get bored or are sick of hearing about it since we all share the same excitement. We're going to organize them every few months and the next one will probably be in my neck of the woods sometime in the early spring. Can't wait!

Happy New Year!!

I had a meeting today with Nancy (our decorator/florist) to sign the contract and tweak whatever needed to be tweaked. She was supposed to have a sample of my centrepieces for me today but because of the holidays, her floral supplier was on holidays and is delayed delivering the flowers by a couple of days. Therefore, we've postponed until February. I can't wait to see how good they will look!!

I also finally found a colour swatch in sage, or a colour pretty close to my wedding colour so I've sent off a copy of it to the decorator, the baker and the chair cover lady hoping they can match it or come close to it for the decor.
