Attendants' Gifts

Jimmy and I finally purchased our wedding party's thank you gifts. Can't wait to give it to them.

I'm going on Thursday evening with my mom and grandma to try on my gown again. This will be the first time my mom and granny see my gown. My mom was with me when I bought the gown but she was out of the country when I went in to try it after it came in. My grandma hasn't even seen the sample so it's going to be quite an emotional evening. I can't wait!!

Menu

I went with my mom yesterday to sign the contract to secure the current prices and pick the menu for the wedding meals. It seems so much more real now that we're this close to the finish line. I can't get over how quickly Seb's wedding passed and now it's just 3 months away for mine.

Jimmy and I also sent out half of our wedding invites yesterday. I'm going to my mom's today to give her her half of the invites and I'll hopefully be able to have her send them out before the end of the month.

Can't wait to receive my first RSVP in the mail!!

Honeymoon Booked!!

We finally booked and put our deposit downs for our honeymoon!!! I'm so excited! We decided to set a budget and the only place that really fit that budget was Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. I keep hearing wonderful things about that place so I'm really looking forward to going. I'm also looking forward to introducing Jimmy to an all-inclusive resort. I love sharing all his "firsts".

We registered for our wedding at Marlin Travel. Basically, all the registry info will be sent out with our invites in a week's time. People will see the info and they can call/email the travel agent and donate money towards our honeymoon if they choose to. We were hesitant to do this but after seeing the great results my brother got for his registry, I'm not too worried (I hope ppl come through like they did for him!!)

Gran Bahia Principe Ambar (5 stars - adults only) in Punta Cana
It's pretty new. They had their grand opening in November 2007 so when we show up, it will be a year old.
